The objective of the project is to provide services for events and educational activities for both Mahidol University and public use. The design concept explores the relationships between the building, surrounding context and the university philosophy. Mahidol University is highly recognised for being one of the best medical schools in Thailand. The skeleton structure is inclined towards the main pool being a new landmark and creates a new axis to Mahidol University. In contrast, another end of the building that faces the street front is much taller and designed to be easily recognised from the distance. The skeleton structure of Prince Mahidol Hall was emphasised its unique structure as well as visualise activity in the main foyer. This was achieved by illuminated only most effective plane to made visitors could recognise repetition of structure and remain the rest as silhouette.
