One of the design goals for this project was to incorporate the infinity symbol, a favorite sign of the owners, into the house plan. Another requirement was to make use of steel, allowing for a more complex design.

These two aspects drove the design of "Infinity Pavilion"; which houses the private living/working room and the master bedroom. The designers took the infinity symbol curvature, and transformed it into a three-dimensional scheme.

The resulting double-curvature surface is molded into an impressive steel structure. A close look at the different surface component helps one understand the scale and unit forms which, later, will create the supporting finishing material lines and panelization. A diagrid of intersecting metal is chosen, not only for its aesthetics, but also its flexibility to break into triangle unit forms and showcase the strong surface curvature.

During the construction process, the exposed structure is prefabricated with 12mm. steel plates. These sections' area is divided into two pieces and transported to the site for assembly. The surface is finished with fritted and clear glass, as well as a metallic copper and aluminium composite. There are more than 300 unique panels of various sizes, glazing and paneling design. A fully digital process allows for this type pf prefabrication directly from drawings, first utilizing plywood panels as prototypes.
